Incubation begins as soon as the first egg is laid. The female lays three to eleven eggs at 2-day intervals. The nests themselves have no insulating materials. Nests of Snowy Owls are just scraped, shallow hollows in the ground on one of the raised areas of the tundra. They pick a windswept rise that will be blown free of snow and reuse the nest for many years. They also hoot, whistle, and hiss if threatened. Snowy Owls calls: They make a strong raspy Hoo sound. In winter, they will eat rodents, rabbits, squirrels, and birds such as ducks and geese. They also catch birds in flight, such as ptarmigan or waterfowl. They hunt small mammals, especially lemmings, and can eat 1600 in a year. Snowy Owls are diurnal, unlike most other owls, and spend the 24-hour summer daylight hunting in the arctic. ![]() They may visit coastal dunes, lakeshores, prairies, and other shrubby environments that are similar to what they have in the Arctic. However, they may move southward for the winter when prey is lacking. Grassy meadows and marshes are favorite areas for hunting. You can find Snowy Owls in open Arctic tundra and prefer to situate themselves in areas with vantage points like hummocks, ridges, knolls, and bluffs so that they can keep a close watch on their surroundings. Snowy Owls breed in the arctic around the world, including the north of Canada, and migrate to southern Canada and northern US states. Juveniles have extensive brown barring all over their bodies except their faces, underwings, legs, and feet. They have thick dark bars on their wingtips but incomplete bars on their tails. ![]() Snowy Owls have bright yellow eyes, and their legs and feet are fully covered with feathers to protect them from the cold, harsh weather of the Arctic. They appear in 2% of winter checklists submitted by bird watchers for the province. Snowy Owls are vulnerable species in Ontario but they spend winter in the south from November to mid-April, and some are also spotted during migration in the north of the province.

Argentine beef ( all carbon-neutral, Gaucho promises) comes in four butterflied and marinated spiral cuts as well as the usual fillet, rib-eye, rump and sirloin, which are also available as a tasting menu (£60) so you can decide once and for all which is your favourite. Gaucho might have fallen off the radars of London’s cooler foodies but there’s still much to enjoy, not least at the revamped Charlotte Street branch - owner Martin Williams and culinary director Mike Reid have done this place proud - where the addition of a four-seater beef bar has brought the concept of a chef’s table to steak lovers and there’s not a follicle of cowhide in sight. After Mizuki is defeated, Tsubaki seems to have finally given up on him for good, as she stated that she wishes to start over once she is finished with her responsibilities for her part in Mizuki's crimes. Even when Mizuki turned increasingly abusive to her, she continued to plea for him to finally surrender and repent. Because of her love for Mizuki, she had forced herself to believe that he can still come back to his senses, and had denied information from the village despite knowing of Mizuki's schemes. She truly loved Mizuki, but she deeply hated the person that he had become after his involvement with Orochimaru. Tsubaki has a very warm, and caring nature inside of her. Step 1: Check the license type of MS Office Therefore, to learn how to transfer Microsoft Office 2010/2013 to another computer, you need to check its license type and version in advance. Also, in some versions, the number of times we can transfer MS Office is restricted. Before you start, make sure that the license of MS Office that you own allows the transfer of the product to another system. If you have a Microsoft Office 2010 or 2013 license instead that is not connected to Office 365, then the process would be slightly different. This will authenticate the software and you can use it without any complications on your new computer now. In the end, simply enter this product key while installing MS Office on your new system. If you don’t remember the product key, then you can just go to your Microsoft Account > Services & Subscription and view your product key from here. To complete the setup, you need to enter your product key so that it can be linked to your account. Of course it doesn’t reflect on the S88, they’re completely different keybeds, but what I played in the store was in fact the S88 and it was beyond bad imho. I’ll be just as well off with a LaunchKey and LaunchPad for a combined $500. This is my scenario and it can obviously be different for everyone but I don’t see value in owning $1900 worth of controllers that I just use to trigger simple midi notes in my DAW. I’ll never switch my production over to Maschine software so owning a $900 CAD controller to only use as a midi drum pad for Logic/Ableton is ridiculous. If you don’t plan to use Maschine software to produce then just buy a $100-200 Midi Drum Pad like Akai MPD or Novation LaunchPad. If you’re 100% in the box or do a lot of live performances then midi controllers can be great, but if you produce with hardware instruments or plan to buy a synth in the future, then put your money towards a synth or a Nord instead of a midi controller imo. You can use those as a Midi controller, map them to your DAW or Plugins, and they’ll hold their value relatively well forever. It’s much better to buy a basic controller or a synth/stage keyboard that make their own sound and have USB Midi. Plus in a few years when the next model is released they become worthless. but we all buy these expensive controllers based on the long list of features and expectations that they’ll improve our workflow but most of the time our workflow remains the same, there are issues with DAW control implementation, firmware issues, and the only thing we end up using them for is just Keys to play, and Pads to hit in our already established workflow. I own many synths and other instruments so I’m not against spending money on gear lol. Unrelated but I’ll have a post up soon about why I’m selling my 61 SL MK3 & Maschine MK3 / why midi controllers can be a waste of money. I haven’t had the chance to try another unit but I’ve seen them in many videos and the playing does look fairly effortless. I think there’s probably just a few bad apples floating around out there because I’ve heard varying opinions. ![]() ![]() If this is a common thing with these, then why aren’t there horrible reviews written everywhere? (Again, that’s why I’m considering it might be a one-off bad unit)ĭoes anyone here have one? And does anyone here also own a real piano or true hammer action instrument to compare it with? Have you played other hammer action keyboards like the Nord Piano or anything else? What are your thoughts on the S88? Because for me, if that’s a regular QC passed production run, it just feels like a bad joke…ĭang sorry to hear! This is an old thread so I can tell you I’ve been back to that store +6 months later to find the S88 still sitting on the floor unsold and feeling just as bad as I remembered it. that’s $1400 pre tax for a midi keyboard with 2 screens that just controls NI software. Now I’m going to give everyone including NI the benefit of the doubt and just think that maybe this was a one-off bad production unit, but damn man. It actually felt like there was just styrofoam stuck under the keys or something to make it feel “weighted” but it was horribly heavy to push any key down, I felt resistance everywhere and it did not feel anything like any Hammer Action that I know of. My old M-Audio Keybed felt better than this thing. I put my hands down on the thing and it’s honestly got to be the worst keybed I’ve ever felt. So, with that in mind, I was ready to be blown away. Sitting a few keyboards over was the KK S88 MK2, I’ve also never played one of those so I went up to it and saw the whopping $1400+ (CAD) price tag on it but then I remembered hearing so many good things about it online when I was looking for a high end midi keyboard. It was great, a really interesting piece of gear and I see why so many people love it. Today I was in the Music Store and they had a Nord Piano 5 sitting there, and personally I’ve never sat down and played one, so I did. But they are known for having less than desirable action, I did the best I could with that thing and it plays very smoothly now, but it still feels like a Rhodes. I recently got a 1973 Rhodes MK1, a beautiful instrument that I restored inside and out, it’s my baby. I ended up chosing the Novation 61SL MK3 in the end but anyways. Okay so let me give this some context, I’m not here to shit on NI, I actually like their products a lot, I use a Maschine now in my daily workflow and the S61 was a big contender for my main controller. ![]() This setting is available at both global and repository scopes, and corresponds to the git config user.name and user.email settings.įrom the Git menu, go to Settings.
